What it is like to use
The photo on this page is my own box, the regular Collagen version in the 4-sheet pack. The other masks below come from research, not my own use, and I've labeled them that way.
What the Biodance mask is
It's a hydrogel sheet mask: a thick, jelly-like sheet rather than the thin paper kind. The box lists low molecular collagen, low molecular hyaluronic acid, and a probiotic ferment filtrate. Biodance says to leave it on for at least 3 to 4 hours, or overnight. The sheet slowly turns more transparent as your skin absorbs it.
Because it's a hydrogel, it stays on better than a paper sheet mask, but it won't stay perfectly in place if you move a lot in your sleep. Amazon's review summary mentions both of these: people who sleep in it love the glow the next morning, and a few say it slid off or tore.
Which Biodance pack to buy
The 4-sheet Collagen pack is $19.00 ($4.75 a sheet), sold by Biodance and shipped by Amazon. If you already know you like it, the 16-sheet Collagen pack is $62.00, or about $3.88 a sheet. Make sure you pick the Collagen listing, though. On Amazon, the "Pack of 4" option on the Collagen page actually opens the Sea Kelp version.
Biodance also makes Cera-nol, Sea Kelp and Caviar PDRN versions at the same $19 price. Start with the original Collagen mask. It's the one with over 51,000 ratings, and it's the one I use.
Skip any "Biodance" listing that isn't sold by Biodance. When we checked, a sponsored $14.99 listing using the name had a 3.2-star rating. The real one shows "Visit the BIODANCE Store" under the title.
Is it a good gift?
Yes. A 4-pack at about $19 makes an easy stocking stuffer for anyone who likes skincare, and it feels more like a spa treatment than a regular face mask. If you're buying for someone with very sensitive skin, a single 4-pack is a safer bet than the 16-pack.
